Day One!

 Day one!

We took off from Bloomington at around 10:30 am  .

We made it about 2 feet out of the garage before we made our first stop. :).  But after finding Carol's glasses, we were on our  way.    It took us a whole 26 miles before we broke into the stash of snacks.   We made our first stop at the Worlds Largest truck stop along I80 and after Mallory jumped out of the car to help a woman who took a tumble off a curb,  we made sandwiches out  of the back of the car- delicious!

We decided not to rent a mini van after I was able to find my dream car.  The car is fantastic. It's such a smooth ride and so many  features to play with along the way.  And we all fit without adding the cargo carrier.

We inadvertently explored a small part of the White Pole scenic road trying to find gas, and ended up in Dexter, Iowa.

And that brings us to our stopping point for the evening where we're enjoying a nice dinner at a place named Four Brothers in Sioux City, Iowa.

Thank you so much to Ryan Neaveill for staying with my dogs.
